confusion in Cornwall

small birds sing
such sweet music
as if delight
so loud their voices

hedge is centre
song, such beauty
so small the voices
choir for Spring

loud incessant chatter
announces arrival
Summer is here
swallows filling the air

walk up Back lane
natural floral profusion
violets, primroses, bluebells
forget-me-nots, daffodils

we're told its the jet stream
weather forecaster explains
mere humans confused
no one told the birds, plants and bees.

make do with this maelstrom
of seasons' compression
melded and blended
we trust Mother Nature
to correct total imbalance

  1. Something so deep and informative with your poem.. I sometimes am thinking so much.. musing.. about where we all are going to go.. we are so happy now for spring and summer to come. and that's good! but I'm am anxious for the bees and the bumblebees, for all livings in fact..
I had to read your poem again and again..
    You are clever!

Let's take care of our world and our birds and all that grows :)
